महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-12, chapter-101, verse-14

आकाशं तु वनाभ्याशे मन्यन्ते गुणवत्तरम् ।
बहुभिर्गुणजातैस्तु ये युद्धकुशला जनाः ॥१४॥
14. ākāśaṁ tu vanābhyāśe manyante guṇavattaram ,
bahubhirguṇajātaistu ye yuddhakuśalā janāḥ.

bahubhiḥ guṇa-jātaiḥ tu ye yuddha-kuśalāḥ janāḥ
14. ye yuddha-kuśalāḥ janāḥ tu vana-abhyāśe ākāśam

14. But, people who are skilled in warfare (yuddha-kuśala) consider open space (ākāśa) near a forest to be more advantageous, due to its many excellent qualities.
