महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-11, chapter-26, verse-3

निष्ठुरं वैरपरुषं वृद्धानां शासनातिगम् ।
कथमात्मकृतं दोषं मय्याधातुमिहेच्छसि ॥३॥
3. niṣṭhuraṁ vairaparuṣaṁ vṛddhānāṁ śāsanātigam ,
kathamātmakṛtaṁ doṣaṁ mayyādhātumihecchasi.
