महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-11, chapter-26, verse-13

ये त्वहृष्टेन मनसा मर्तव्यमिति भारत ।
युध्यमाना हताः संख्ये ते गन्धर्वैः समागताः ॥१३॥
13. ye tvahṛṣṭena manasā martavyamiti bhārata ,
yudhyamānā hatāḥ saṁkhye te gandharvaiḥ samāgatāḥ.
13. ye tu ahṛṣṭena manasā martavyam iti bhārata
yudhyamānāḥ hatāḥ saṃkhye te gandharvaiḥ samāgatāḥ
13. bhārata,
ye tu ahṛṣṭena manasā martavyam iti [cintayantaḥ] saṃkhye yudhyamānāḥ hatāḥ,
te gandharvaiḥ samāgatāḥ
13. But O Bharata, those who, fighting in battle, were killed with an unhappy mind, thinking "one must die", they have gone to dwell among the Gandharvas.
