त्रयोदशानां पत्नीनां या तु दाक्षायणी वरा ।

9. Among the thirteen wives, the one who was the chief Dākṣāyaṇī (daughter of Dakṣa) – in her, Kaśyapa, the son of Marīci, begot the Adityas: Indra and others, who were endowed with great strength, and also Vivasvat.
