महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-1, chapter-26, verse-47

इति समरवरं सुरास्थितं परिघसहस्रशतैः समाकुलम् ।
विगलितमिव चाम्बरान्तरे तपनमरीचिविभासितं बभौ ॥४७॥
47. iti samaravaraṁ surāsthitaṁ; parighasahasraśataiḥ samākulam ,
vigalitamiva cāmbarāntare; tapanamarīcivibhāsitaṁ babhau.

47. Thus, that excellent battlefield, crowded with hundreds of thousands of maces and occupied by the gods, shone brilliantly, illuminated by the sun's rays, as if it had settled in the mid-atmosphere.
