महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-1, chapter-113, verse-5

तासां व्युच्चरमाणानां कौमारात्सुभगे पतीन् ।
नाधर्मोऽभूद्वरारोहे स हि धर्मः पुराभवत् ॥५॥
5. tāsāṁ vyuccaramāṇānāṁ kaumārātsubhage patīn ,
nādharmo'bhūdvarārohe sa hi dharmaḥ purābhavat.
5. tāsām vyuccaramāṇānām kaumārāt subhage patīn na
adharmaḥ abhūt varārohe saḥ hi dharmaḥ purā abhavat
5. O fortunate one, for those women who, from their maidenhood, deviated from their husbands, there was no unrighteousness (adharma), O slender-hipped one. For that indeed was the (dharma) in ancient times.
