मानुषेषु महाभागे न त्वेवान्येषु जन्तुषु ।
तदा प्रभृति मर्यादा स्थितेयमिति नः श्रुतम् ॥१६॥

16. Among humans (mānuṣeṣu), O greatly fortunate one, but not among other living beings (jantus). From that time onwards, this boundary (maryādā) has been established—this is what we have heard.
