महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-1, chapter-113, verse-42

तस्माद्धर्मं पुरस्कृत्य नियता त्वं शुचिस्मिते ।
उपचाराभिचाराभ्यां धर्ममाराधयस्व वै ॥४२॥
42. tasmāddharmaṁ puraskṛtya niyatā tvaṁ śucismite ,
upacārābhicārābhyāṁ dharmamārādhayasva vai.

42. Therefore, O pure-smiled one, you, being self-controlled, should certainly honor righteousness (dharma) by giving it precedence, through proper conduct and ritual observances.
