योगवासिष्ठः       yogavāsiṣṭhaḥ - book-6, chapter-32, verse-40

सर्वगा चिच्चेतनतो जीवीभूय मनःस्थिता ।
पुर्यष्टकवपुर्भूत्वा साऽऽतिवाहिकदेहिनी ॥ ४० ॥
sarvagā ciccetanato jīvībhūya manaḥsthitā ,
puryaṣṭakavapurbhūtvā sā''tivāhikadehinī 40
40. sarva-gā cit cetanataḥ jīvī-bhūya manaḥ-sthitā
puryaṣṭaka-vapuḥ bhūtvā sā ātivāhika-dehinī
40. sarva-gā cit cetanataḥ jīvī-bhūya manaḥ-sthitā,
sā puryaṣṭaka-vapuḥ bhūtvā ātivāhika-dehinī
40. The all-pervading consciousness, by virtue of its conscious nature, becomes a living being dwelling in the mind. Having then taken on the form of the subtle body, that very consciousness itself becomes endowed with a subtle transmigratory body.
