योगवासिष्ठः       yogavāsiṣṭhaḥ - book-6, chapter-32, verse-5

चित्ताद्यसत्तया देहो मूकस्तिष्ठति कुड्यवत् ।
तत्सत्तया हि स्फुरति नभःसंप्रेरिताश्मवत् ॥ ५ ॥
cittādyasattayā deho mūkastiṣṭhati kuḍyavat ,
tatsattayā hi sphurati nabhaḥsaṃpreritāśmavat 5
5. cittaādyasattayā dehaḥ mūkaḥ tiṣṭhati kuḍyavat
tatsattayā hi sphurati nabhaḥsaṃpreritaaśmavat
5. cittaādyasattayā dehaḥ kuḍyavat mūkaḥ tiṣṭhati,
hi tatsattayā nabhaḥsaṃpreritaaśmavat sphurati
5. When the mind (citta) and other faculties are inactive or non-existent, the body remains inert like a wall. Indeed, by the existence of that (mind), it vibrates and functions, just like a stone propelled by the sky (wind).
