योगवासिष्ठः       yogavāsiṣṭhaḥ - book-5, chapter-46, verse-23

भृत्याश्चाकृतसत्कारं दूर एनमथात्यजन् ।
दुःखयुक्ता घनस्नेहा अपि बालाः शवं यथा ॥ २३ ॥
bhṛtyāścākṛtasatkāraṃ dūra enamathātyajan ,
duḥkhayuktā ghanasnehā api bālāḥ śavaṃ yathā 23
23. bhṛtyāḥ ca akṛtasatkāram dūram enam atha atyajan
duḥkhayuktāḥ ghanasnehāḥ api bālāḥ śavam yathā

23. Servants, though they had not been properly honored, abandoned him from a distance. Even the children, despite their profound affection and sorrow, treated him like a corpse.
