दृष्टाः कठिनसंरम्भा विभवोऽप्यर्जनभ्रमाः ।
विहृतं वीतशोकासु चिरं मेरुस्थलीषु च ॥ ३९ ॥

vihṛtaṃ vītaśokāsu ciraṃ merusthalīṣu ca 39

39. I have witnessed wealth and power that involved strenuous efforts and ultimately proved to be illusions of acquisition. And I have long roamed the plateaus of Mount Meru, which are free from sorrow.
