योगवासिष्ठः       yogavāsiṣṭhaḥ - book-3, chapter-16, verse-44

अन्तर्धिमाजगामास्याः पत्युस्तच्चेतनं तनौ ।
संदृश्यमानमेवाशु शुष्कपत्ररसो यथा ॥ ४४ ॥
antardhimājagāmāsyāḥ patyustaccetanaṃ tanau ,
saṃdṛśyamānamevāśu śuṣkapatraraso yathā 44
44. antardhim ājagāma asyāḥ patyuḥ tat cetanam tanau
saṃdṛśyamānam eva āśu śuṣkapatrarasaḥ yathā
44. asyāḥ tanau patyuḥ tat cetanam saṃdṛśyamānam
eva āśu antardhim ājagāma śuṣkapatrarasaḥ yathā
44. That consciousness (cetanam) of her husband (patyuḥ) swiftly vanished from her body (tanau), becoming imperceptible, just as the visible sap (rasaḥ) of a dry leaf (śuṣka-patra) quickly disappears.
