वाल्मीकि-रामायणम्       vālmīki-rāmāyaṇam - book-7, chapter-34, verse-34

वानरेन्द्र महेन्द्राभ राक्षसेन्द्रो ऽस्मि रावणः ।
युद्धेप्सुरहं संप्राप्तः स चाद्यासादितस्त्वया ॥३४॥
34. vānarendra mahendrābha rākṣasendro'smi rāvaṇaḥ ,
yuddhepsurahaṃ saṃprāptaḥ sa cādyāsāditastvayā.
34. vānara-indra mahendra-ābha rākṣasa-indraḥ asmi rāvaṇaḥ
yuddha-īpsuḥ aham samprāptaḥ saḥ ca adya āsāditaḥ tvayā
34. vānarendra mahendrābha ! aham rākṣasendraḥ rāvaṇaḥ asmi.
aham yuddhepsuḥ samprāptaḥ ca saḥ adya tvayā āsāditaḥ.
34. "O lord of monkeys, you who are like Mahendra! I am Rāvaṇa, the lord of `rākṣasas`. I have arrived here desirous of battle, and that (opportunity for battle) has been met by you today."
