वाल्मीकि-रामायणम्       vālmīki-rāmāyaṇam - book-7, chapter-34, verse-32

रावणं तु मुमोचाथ स्वकक्षात् कपिसत्तमः ।
कुतस्त्वमिति चोवाच प्रहसन् रावणं प्रति ॥३२॥
32. rāvaṇaṃ tu mumocātha svakakṣāt kapisattamaḥ ,
kutastvamiti covāca prahasan rāvaṇaṃ prati.
32. rāvaṇam tu mumoca atha sva-kakṣāt kapi-sattamaḥ
kutaḥ tvam iti ca uvāca prahasan rāvaṇam prati
32. tu atha kapi-sattamaḥ sva-kakṣāt rāvaṇam mumoca.
prahasan ca rāvaṇam prati "kutaḥ tvam" iti uvāca.
32. However, the best of monkeys (Vāli) then released Rāvaṇa from his armpit. Laughing, he asked Rāvaṇa, 'Where are you from?'
