वाल्मीकि-रामायणम्       vālmīki-rāmāyaṇam - book-7, chapter-28, verse-46

प्रयुध्यतोरथ तयोर्बाणवर्षैः समन्ततः ।
नाज्ञायत तदा किं चित् सर्वं हि तमसा वृतम् ॥४६॥
46. prayudhyatoratha tayorbāṇavarṣaiḥ samantataḥ ,
nājñāyata tadā kiṃ cit sarvaṃ hi tamasā vṛtam.

na ajñāyata tadā kim cit sarvam hi tamasā vṛtam
