वाल्मीकि-रामायणम्       vālmīki-rāmāyaṇam - book-7, chapter-28, verse-34

ततो रुद्रैर्महाभागैः सहादित्यैर्निशाचरः ।
प्रयुद्धस्तैश्च संग्रामे कृत्तः शस्त्रैर्निरन्तरम् ॥३४॥
34. tato rudrairmahābhāgaiḥ sahādityairniśācaraḥ ,
prayuddhastaiśca saṃgrāme kṛttaḥ śastrairnirantaram.

34. Then, that night-wanderer (Kumbhakarṇa) was vigorously fought by the mighty Rudras along with the Adityas, and in that battle, he was continuously wounded by their weapons.
