वाल्मीकि-रामायणम्       vālmīki-rāmāyaṇam - book-7, chapter-28, verse-30

पुत्रं तं वारयित्वासौ स्वयमेव व्यवस्थितः ।
सो ऽपि युद्धाद्विनिष्क्रम्य रावणिः समुपाविशत् ॥३०॥
30. putraṃ taṃ vārayitvāsau svayameva vyavasthitaḥ ,
so'pi yuddhādviniṣkramya rāvaṇiḥ samupāviśat.
30. putram tam vārayitvā asau svayam eva vyavasthitaḥ
saḥ api yuddhāt viniṣkramya rāvaṇiḥ samupāviśat
30. Having restrained that son, he (the father) himself took his position (in battle). Rāvaṇa's son (Indrajit) also, having withdrawn from the conflict, took a seat.
