वाल्मीकि-रामायणम्       vālmīki-rāmāyaṇam - book-7, chapter-28, verse-19

प्रणाशं दृश्य तु सुरा जयन्तस्यातिदारुणम् ।
व्यथिताश्चाप्रहृष्टाश्च समन्ताद्विप्रदुद्रुवुः ॥१९॥
19. praṇāśaṃ dṛśya tu surā jayantasyātidāruṇam ,
vyathitāścāprahṛṣṭāśca samantādvipradudruvuḥ.

19. But having seen the extremely terrible disappearance of Jayanta, the gods became distressed and dejected, and they fled in all directions.
