ददृशुर्विस्मितास्तत्र रावणं राक्षसाधिपम् ॥२३॥

23. tatastvadbhutasaṃkāśāḥ sthitāḥ parvatamūrdhani ,
sītāṃ gṛhītvā gacchantaṃ vānarāḥ parvatopamāḥ ,
dadṛśurvismitāstatra rāvaṇaṃ rākṣasādhipam.

tataḥ tu adbhutasaṃkāśāḥ sthitāḥ

23.
Then, the mountain-like monkeys, wondrous in appearance and standing on a mountain peak, were astonished to see Rāvaṇa, the lord of rākṣasas, carrying Sītā and departing from there.
