वाल्मीकि-रामायणम्       vālmīki-rāmāyaṇam - book-6, chapter-114, verse-22

त्रातुकामं ततो युद्धे हत्वा गृध्रं जटायुषम् ।
प्रगृह्य सीतां सहसा जगामाशु स रावणः ॥२२॥
22. trātukāmaṃ tato yuddhe hatvā gṛdhraṃ jaṭāyuṣam ,
pragṛhya sītāṃ sahasā jagāmāśu sa rāvaṇaḥ.

pragṛhya sītām sahasā jagāma āśu saḥ rāvaṇaḥ
22. Then, having killed the vulture Jaṭāyu, who desired to protect (Sītā) in battle, that Rāvaṇa forcibly seized Sītā and swiftly departed.
