अहो स्नेहोऽस्य नृपतेर्ममोपर्यचलं मनः ।
येनायं पातनोऽरीणां विना शस्त्रेण पातितः ॥४०॥

Oh, what unwavering affection this king (nṛpati) has for me, and what a steady mind (manas) fixed upon me! It is by this (attachment) that he, who is accustomed to felling his enemies, has himself been felled without a weapon.
