मार्कण्डेय-पुराणम्       mārkaṇḍeya-purāṇam - chapter-24, verse-29

कुतज्ञोऽयं ततस्तात प्रतिज्ञां कृतवानिमाम् ।
नान्या भार्या भवित्रीति वर्जयित्वा मदालसाम् ॥२९॥
29. kutajño'yaṃ tatastāta pratijñāṃ kṛtavānimām .
nānyā bhāryā bhavitrīti varjayitvā madālasām.
29. kṛtajñaḥ ayam tataḥ tāta pratijñām kṛtavān imām
na anyā bhāryā bhavitrī iti varjayitvā madālasām
29. Therefore, O father, this grateful one (the prince) made this vow: 'There shall be no other wife, excluding Madālasā.'
