मार्कण्डेय-पुराणम्       mārkaṇḍeya-purāṇam - chapter-24, verse-21

एते च विविधाः कामा गीतवाद्यादिकञ्च यत् ।
सर्वमेतन्मम मतं फलं पुण्यवनस्पतेः ॥२१॥
21. ete ca vividhāḥ kāmā gītavādyādikañca yat .
sarvametanmama mataṃ phalaṃ puṇyavanaspateḥ.
21. ete ca vividhāḥ kāmāḥ gīta-vādya-ādikam ca yat
sarvam etat mama matam phalam puṇya-vanaspateḥ
21. And these various objects of enjoyment (kāmā), along with whatever pertains to singing, music, and so forth—all this, in my opinion, is merely the fruit of a meritorious tree.
