मार्कण्डेय-पुराणम्       mārkaṇḍeya-purāṇam - chapter-24, verse-38

अश्वतर उवाच ।
मायेयं पुत्र मा स्प्राक्षीः प्रागेव कथितं तव ।
अन्तर्धानमुपैत्याशु माया संस्पर्शनादिभिः ॥३८॥
38. aśvatara uvāca .
māyeyaṃ putra mā sprākṣīḥ prāgeva kathitaṃ tava .
antardhānamupaityāśu māyā saṃsparśanādibhiḥ.
38. aśvataraḥ uvāca māyā iyam putra mā sprākṣīḥ prāk eva
kathitam tava antardhānam upaiti āśu māyā saṃsparśanādibhiḥ
38. Aśvatara spoke: "Son, do not touch this; it is an illusion (māyā). It was already explained to you earlier that illusion (māyā) quickly vanishes by touching and similar actions."
