मार्कण्डेय-पुराणम्       mārkaṇḍeya-purāṇam - chapter-24, verse-37

जड उवाच ।
स दृष्ट्वा तां तदा तन्वीं तत्क्षणात् विगतत्रपः ।
प्रियेति तामभिमुखं ययौ वाचमुदीरयन् ।
निवारयामास च तं नागः सोऽश्वतरस्त्वरन् ॥३७॥
37. jaḍa uvāca .
sa dṛṣṭvā tāṃ tadā tanvīṃ tatkṣaṇāt vigatatrapaḥ .
priyeti tāmabhimukhaṃ yayau vācamudīrayan .
nivārayāmāsa ca taṃ nāgaḥ so'śvatarastvaran.
37. jaḍaḥ uvāca saḥ dṛṣṭvā tām tadā tanvīm
tat-kṣaṇāt vigata-trapaḥ priye iti tām
abhimukham yayau vācam udīrayan nivārayāmāsa
ca tam nāgaḥ saḥ aśvataraḥ tvaran
37. Jaḍa said: "Upon seeing that slender woman then, he immediately became free from shame. Uttering the word 'O beloved!', he went towards her. And that serpent Ashvatara, hurrying, restrained him."
