मार्कण्डेय उवाच ।
तथेत्युक्त्वा जनान्भास्वानदृश्योऽभून्महामुने ।
तेऽपि लब्धवरा हृष्टाः समाजग्मुर्जनेश्वरम् ॥५॥

5. mārkaṇḍeya uvāca .
tathetyuktvā janānbhāsvānadṛśyo'bhūnmahāmune .
te'pi labdhavarā hṛṣṭāḥ samājagmurjaneśvaram.

mārkaṇḍeyaḥ uvāca tathā iti

5.
Mārkaṇḍeya said: "Having uttered 'So be it' to the people, the glorious Sun god became invisible, O great sage. They too, having obtained their boons, rejoiced and returned to the king (jana-īśvara)."
