ईजे यज्ञान्स च बहून्ददौ दानान्यहर्निशम् ।

He performed many Vedic rituals (yajña) and gave gifts (dāna) day and night. That king, being a knower of righteousness (dharma), also enjoyed worldly pleasures accompanied by his proud wife.
