न चेदेवं करोत्यर्कस्तदाद्रौ तत्र मानिनि ।
तपस्तप्स्ये निराहारो यावज्जीवितसंक्षयः ॥२६॥

If the Sun (arka) does not do so, then, O proud lady (māninī), I will perform severe penance (tapas) on that mountain, fasting until the cessation of my life.
