मार्कण्डेय-पुराणम्       mārkaṇḍeya-purāṇam - chapter-107, verse-30

तस्य पूजयतो भानुं तप्यतश्च तपो महत् ।
साग्रे सम्वत्सरे याते ततः प्रीतो दिवाकरः ॥३०॥
30. tasya pūjayato bhānuṃ tapyataśca tapo mahat .
sāgre samvatsare yāte tataḥ prīto divākaraḥ.

sāgre samvatsare yāte tataḥ prītaḥ divākaraḥ
30. After more than a year had passed, while he (the king) was worshipping the Sun god and performing great austerity (tapas), the Sun god (divākara) became pleased.
