मार्कण्डेय-पुराणम्       mārkaṇḍeya-purāṇam - chapter-107, verse-21

राजोवाच ।
उपकारः कृतः पौरैः प्रीत्या भृत्यैश्च यो मम ।
कथं भोक्ष्याम्यहं भोगान्गत्वा तेषामनिष्कृतिम् ॥२१॥
21. rājovāca .
upakāraḥ kṛtaḥ pauraiḥ prītyā bhṛtyaiśca yo mama .
kathaṃ bhokṣyāmyahaṃ bhogāngatvā teṣāmaniṣkṛtim.
21. rājan uvāca upakāraḥ kṛtaḥ pauraiḥ prītyā bhṛtyaiḥ ca yaḥ
mama katham bhokṣyāmi aham bhogān gatvā teṣām aniṣkṛtim
21. The King said: "How can I enjoy pleasures after incurring a debt of unrequited kindness (aniṣkṛtim) from the citizens and my servants, which was rendered to me out of their affection?"
