मार्कण्डेय-पुराणम्       mārkaṇḍeya-purāṇam - chapter-107, verse-38

विप्रैतदखिलं श्रुत्वा भानोर्माहात्म्यमुत्तमम् ।
पठंश्च मुच्यते पापैः सप्तरात्रकृतैर्नरः ॥३८॥
38. vipraitadakhilaṃ śrutvā bhānormāhātmyamuttamam .
paṭhaṃśca mucyate pāpaiḥ saptarātrakṛtairnaraḥ.
38. vipra etat akhilam śrutvā bhānoḥ māhātmyam uttamam
paṭhan ca mucyate pāpaiḥ saptarātrakṛtaiḥ naraḥ
38. O Brāhmaṇa, a person who has heard this entire excellent glory of the Sun god, and who recites it, is liberated (mokṣa) from sins committed over seven days and nights.
