मार्कण्डेय-पुराणम्       mārkaṇḍeya-purāṇam - chapter-107, verse-29

निराहारा कृशा सा च यथासौ पृथिवीपतिः ।
तेपे तपस्तथैवोग्रं शीतवातातपक्षमा ॥२९॥
29. nirāhārā kṛśā sā ca yathāsau pṛthivīpatiḥ .
tepe tapastathaivograṃ śītavātātapakṣamā.

tepe tapaḥ tathā eva ugram śītavātātapakṣamā
29. And she, emaciated and abstaining from food, likewise performed severe austerity (tapas), enduring cold, wind, and sun, just as that king did.
