महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-9, chapter-21, verse-6

बाणभूतामपश्याम पृथिवीं पृथिवीपते ।
दुर्योधनेन प्रकृतां क्षिप्रहस्तेन धन्विना ॥६॥
6. bāṇabhūtāmapaśyāma pṛthivīṁ pṛthivīpate ,
duryodhanena prakṛtāṁ kṣiprahastena dhanvinā.

6. पृथिवीपते,
क्षिप्रहस्तेन धन्विना दुर्योधनेन प्रकृतां बाणभूताम् पृथिवीम् अपश्याम ।
6. O lord of the earth, we saw the earth become transformed into (a field of) arrows, an effect created by Duryodhana, the swift-handed archer.
