महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-8, chapter-7, verse-15

मकरस्य तु तुण्डे वै कर्णो राजन्व्यवस्थितः ।
नेत्राभ्यां शकुनिः शूर उलूकश्च महारथः ॥१५॥
15. makarasya tu tuṇḍe vai karṇo rājanvyavasthitaḥ ,
netrābhyāṁ śakuniḥ śūra ulūkaśca mahārathaḥ.

15. O King, Karna was indeed positioned in the snout of the Makara (crocodile) formation. In its two eyes were the heroic Shakuni and the great chariot-warrior Uluka.
