महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-8, chapter-38, verse-8

ततः कृपः शरैस्तीक्ष्णैः सोऽतिविद्धो महारथः ।
व्यश्वसूतरथं चक्रे पार्षतं तु द्विजोत्तमः ॥८॥
8. tataḥ kṛpaḥ śaraistīkṣṇaiḥ so'tividdho mahārathaḥ ,
vyaśvasūtarathaṁ cakre pārṣataṁ tu dvijottamaḥ.

8. Then Kripa, the foremost of brahmins (dvijottama), that great warrior (mahāratha), though severely wounded by sharp arrows, indeed rendered Pārṣata (Shikhaṇḍin) bereft of his horses, charioteer, and chariot.
