महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-8, chapter-38, verse-28

चलतस्तस्य कायात्तु शिरो ज्वलितकुण्डलम् ।
सोष्णीषं सशिरस्त्राणं क्षुरप्रेणान्वपातयत् ॥२८॥
28. calatastasya kāyāttu śiro jvalitakuṇḍalam ,
soṣṇīṣaṁ saśirastrāṇaṁ kṣurapreṇānvapātayat.
28. calataḥ tasya kāyāt tu śiraḥ jvalitakuṇḍalam
soṣṇīṣam saśirastrāṇam kṣurapreṇa anvapātayat
28. tu calataḥ tasya kāyāt jvalitakuṇḍalam soṣṇīṣam

28. But from his swaying body, (Gautama) struck down his head – adorned with shining earrings, a turban, and a helmet – with a razor-sharp arrow (kṣurapra).
