महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-8, chapter-38, verse-29

तच्छिरः प्रापतद्भूमौ श्येनाहृतमिवामिषम् ।
ततोऽस्य कायो वसुधां पश्चात्प्राप तदा च्युतः ॥२९॥
29. tacchiraḥ prāpatadbhūmau śyenāhṛtamivāmiṣam ,
tato'sya kāyo vasudhāṁ paścātprāpa tadā cyutaḥ.
29. tat śiraḥ prāpatat bhūmau śyena āhṛtam iva āmiṣam
tataḥ asya kāyaḥ vasudhām paścāt prāpa tadā cyutaḥ
29. tat śiraḥ bhūmau śyena āhṛtam āmiṣam iva prāpatat
tataḥ tadā asya cyutaḥ kāyaḥ paścāt vasudhām prāpa
29. That head fell to the ground like a piece of meat snatched by a hawk. Then, his (Suketu's) body, detached (from the head), subsequently fell to the earth.
