महाभारतः mahābhārataḥ - book-8, chapter-34, verse-39

स विसृष्टो बलवता बाणो वज्राशनिस्वनः ।
अदारयद्रणे कर्णं वज्रवेग इवाचलम् ॥३९॥

39. That arrow, released by the mighty one (Bhima) and sounding like a thunderbolt, pierced Karna in battle, just as a mountain is rent by the force of a thunderbolt.
