At that time, while (Bhīma was) dwelling in anonymous exile (ajñātavāsa) in the city of Virāṭa, Kīcaka, along with his followers (sagaṇa), was killed by Bhīma, who desired Draupadī's well-being and, solely relying on the strength of his arms, had adopted a disguised persona.
