महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-8, chapter-34, verse-30

स संनिपातस्तुमुलो भीमरूपो विशां पते ।
आसीद्रौद्रो महाराज कर्णपाण्डवयोर्मृधे ।
ततो मुहूर्ताद्राजेन्द्र पाण्डवः कर्णमाद्रवत् ॥३०॥
30. sa saṁnipātastumulo bhīmarūpo viśāṁ pate ,
āsīdraudro mahārāja karṇapāṇḍavayormṛdhe ,
tato muhūrtādrājendra pāṇḍavaḥ karṇamādravat.

30. O lord of men, O great king, that terrible and dreadful clash became fierce in the battle between Karṇa and the Pāṇḍava. Then, O king of kings, after a moment, the Pāṇḍava attacked Karṇa.
