महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-7, chapter-76, verse-31

यथा हि मुखवर्णोऽयमनयोरिति मेनिरे ।
तव योधा महाराज हतमेव जयद्रथम् ॥३१॥
31. yathā hi mukhavarṇo'yamanayoriti menire ,
tava yodhā mahārāja hatameva jayadratham.

| tava yodhāḥ mahārāja hatam eva jayadratham
31. mahārāja tava yodhāḥ jayadratham hatam eva menire,
yathā hi ayam mukhavarṇaḥ anayoḥ iti.
31. O great king, your warriors indeed considered Jayadratha as already slain, just as this facial expression [of resolve] was evident on these two (Kṛṣṇa and Arjuna).
