महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-7, chapter-51, verse-28

पायसं वा यवान्नं वा शाकं कृसरमेव वा ।
संयावापूपमांसानि ये च लोका वृथाश्नताम् ।
तानह्नैवाधिगच्छेयं न चेद्धन्यां जयद्रथम् ॥२८॥
28. pāyasaṁ vā yavānnaṁ vā śākaṁ kṛsarameva vā ,
saṁyāvāpūpamāṁsāni ye ca lokā vṛthāśnatām ,
tānahnaivādhigaccheyaṁ na ceddhanyāṁ jayadratham.
28. pāyasam vā yavānnam vā śākam kṛsaram
eva vā saṃyāvāpūpamāṃsāni ye ca
lokāḥ vṛthā aśnatām tān ahnā eva
adhigaccheyam na cet hanyām jayadratham
28. ye ca lokāḥ pāyasam vā yavānnam vā śākam vā kṛsaram eva saṃyāvāpūpamāṃsāni vṛthā aśnatām,
tān ahnā eva adhigaccheyam,
na cet jayadratham hanyām
28. The worlds of those who consume rice pudding, or barley meal, or vegetables, or even *kṛsara* (a dish of rice and lentils), or cakes of flour and meat, fruitlessly – those worlds I shall certainly attain this very day, if I do not slay Jayadratha.
