महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-7, chapter-35, verse-40

एको विष्णुरिवाचिन्त्यः कृत्वा प्राक्कर्म दुष्करम् ।
तथा विमथितं तेन त्र्यङ्गं तव बलं महत् ।
व्यहनत्स पदात्योघांस्त्वदीयानेव भारत ॥४०॥
40. eko viṣṇurivācintyaḥ kṛtvā prākkarma duṣkaram ,
tathā vimathitaṁ tena tryaṅgaṁ tava balaṁ mahat ,
vyahanatsa padātyoghāṁstvadīyāneva bhārata.
40. ekaḥ viṣṇuḥ iva acintyaḥ kṛtvā prāk
karma duṣkaram tathā vimathitam tena
tryaṅgam tava balam mahat vyahanat
saḥ padātyoghān tvadīyān eva bhārata
40. ekaḥ acintyaḥ viṣṇuḥ iva,
prāk duṣkaram karma kṛtvā,
tena tathā tava mahat tryaṅgam balam vimathitam saḥ tvadīyān padātyoghān eva vyahanat,
bhārata!
40. Unique, like the inconceivable Viṣṇu, having performed a deed (karma) that was difficult for anyone before, he thus utterly crushed your great army with its three divisions. Indeed, O Bhārata, he struck down your masses of infantry.
