ततस्तेषां शरीरैश्च शरीरावयवैश्च सः ।
संतस्तार क्षितिं क्षिप्रं कुशैर्वेदिमिवाध्वरे ॥२२॥

22. Thereafter, he swiftly covered the earth (kṣiti) with their bodies and body parts, just as one covers the ritual altar (vedi) with Kuśa grass in a Vedic ritual (adhvara).
