महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-7, chapter-16, verse-49

ततोऽन्योन्येन ते सेने समाजग्मतुरोजसा ।
गङ्गासरय्वोर्वेगेन प्रावृषीवोल्बणोदके ॥४९॥
49. tato'nyonyena te sene samājagmaturojasā ,
gaṅgāsarayvorvegena prāvṛṣīvolbaṇodake.

gaṅgā-sarayvoh vegena prāvṛṣi iva ulbaṇa-udake
49. tataḥ te sene anyonyena ojasā samājagmatuḥ,

49. Then those two armies clashed with each other with great vigor, just as the powerfully surging waters of the Gaṅgā and Sarayū rivers meet during the rainy season.
