महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-4, chapter-59, verse-29

अतीव पाण्डवो भीष्मं भीष्मश्चातीव पाण्डवम् ।
बभूव तस्मिन्संग्रामे राजँल्लोके तदद्भुतम् ॥२९॥
29. atīva pāṇḍavo bhīṣmaṁ bhīṣmaścātīva pāṇḍavam ,
babhūva tasminsaṁgrāme rājaँlloke tadadbhutam.
29. atīva pāṇḍavaḥ bhīṣmam bhīṣmaḥ ca atīva pāṇḍavam
babhūva tasmin saṅgrāme rājan loke tat adbhutam
29. O king, in that battle, it was a great wonder (adbhutam) in the world (loke) how exceedingly Arjuna, the Pāṇḍava, afflicted Bhishma, and Bhishma, in turn, exceedingly afflicted Arjuna, the Pāṇḍava.
