महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-4, chapter-59, verse-16

ततः कनकपुङ्खानां शरवृष्टिं समुत्थिताम् ।
पाण्डवस्य रथात्तूर्णं शलभानामिवायतिम् ।
व्यधमत्तां पुनस्तस्य भीष्मः शरशतैः शितैः ॥१६॥
16. tataḥ kanakapuṅkhānāṁ śaravṛṣṭiṁ samutthitām ,
pāṇḍavasya rathāttūrṇaṁ śalabhānāmivāyatim ,
vyadhamattāṁ punastasya bhīṣmaḥ śaraśataiḥ śitaiḥ.
16. tataḥ kanakapuṅkhānām śaravṛṣṭim
samutthitām pāṇḍavasya rathāt tūrṇam
śalabhānām iva āyatim vyadhamat tām
punaḥ tasya bhīṣmaḥ śaraśataiḥ śitaiḥ
16. Then, Bhishma, with hundreds of sharp arrows, quickly dispersed that shower of golden-feathered arrows which had risen from Pāṇḍava's (Arjuna's) chariot, just like a swarm of locusts.
