महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-3, chapter-263, verse-35

पुनरभ्याहनत्पार्श्वे तद्रक्षो लक्ष्मणो भृशम् ।
गतासुरपतद्भूमौ कबन्धः सुमहांस्ततः ॥३५॥
35. punarabhyāhanatpārśve tadrakṣo lakṣmaṇo bhṛśam ,
gatāsurapatadbhūmau kabandhaḥ sumahāṁstataḥ.
35. punaḥ abhyāhanat pārśve tat rakṣaḥ lakṣmaṇaḥ bhṛśam
gatāsuḥ apatat bhūmau kabandhaḥ sumahān tataḥ
35. Lakshmana then powerfully struck that demon on its side. Immediately after, the colossal Kabandha, having lost its life, fell to the ground.
