महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-3, chapter-263, verse-17

स तावुवाच तेजस्वी सहितौ रामलक्ष्मणौ ।
गृध्रराजोऽस्मि भद्रं वां सखा दशरथस्य ह ॥१७॥
17. sa tāvuvāca tejasvī sahitau rāmalakṣmaṇau ,
gṛdhrarājo'smi bhadraṁ vāṁ sakhā daśarathasya ha.
17. saḥ tau uvāca tejasvī sahitau rāmalakṣmaṇau
gṛdhrarājaḥ asmi bhadram vām sakhā daśarathasya ha
17. That radiant one spoke to Rama and Lakshmana, who were together. He said, "I am the king of vultures, and may good fortune be upon you both. Indeed, I am a friend of Dasharatha."
